Since joining the JDRF ohana, and being diagnosed, we have met hundreds of people throughout Hawaii touched by type 1 diabetes (T1D) who are now family. 80 Americans are diagnosed every day, some as young as a few months old and others adults like me. We are your co-workers, your children’s classmates, your neighbors; we are parents, children, siblings, grandparents and friends. This disease touches us all; and we share the same determination to not let this disease define us.
We are proud to be part of JDRF. What we do – what we all can do – is make an impact that will actively accelerate progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. We do this by supporting JDRF.
Support JDRF by participating in an impactful way:
There is something very special about the sense of kinship we have as a community dedicated to the plan to better treat, prevent and eventually cure T1D. We are excited to be returning to The Royal Hawaiian, affectionately known as the “Pink Palace of the Pacific.” Time to put on your vintage Hawaiian attire and join the spectacular evening we call An “Evening of Hope,” a celebration of the past, present, and future of hope for those living with T1D.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and families throughout Hawaii touched by T1D, we invite you to join us at JDRF. Sign up now online with credit card or print PDF form and return to us. Space is limited and RSVP deadline May 31st.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and our goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a working plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.
